Abstract

The author investigates the reasons of negative tradition in a historiography about the person of Macedonian king Philip V. On the basis of studying a lot of sources the author сonsiders, that Philip did not give value to propagation as a metod of political struggle. It fact became one of the reasons of defeat of Macedonia in war with Rome.
